Farewell message with incredible english

On 30th April I had the opportunity of attending retirement function of one of our  senior executives who was present along with his wife as custom and rituals of our bank.
After every body spoke to the best of their ability to highlight the contribution of Munna sir and ultimately the turn of Munna sir came to address the meeting as his farewell message.
He started as follows "you people love me and called(as if they will never call him respected) me respected MUNNA BERA sir   but to day not only your respected Bera sir is present but MY WIFE MADAM  MRS BERA SIR(NOTE THE GENDER SIR )IS ALSO PRESENT. THERE HAS BEEN A RIOT OF LAUGHTER AND MR.MUNNA BERA FELT VERY HAPPY.IS  IT CALLED OUTRAGING THE MODESTY OF ENGLISH.
N.B.THE NAMES HAVE BEEN CHANGED BUT SURELY SOME OF MY COUREGIOUS FRIENDS WILL VOUCH FOR THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE INCIDENT
